The sun is shining in Buxton – a few things to do!

  • Stroll down to the Pavillion Gardens set in 23 acres with walks, lakes, play areas and miniature train. A firm favourite for the whole family. www.paviliongardens.co.uk
  • Walk from The Old Manse to Grin Low Country park and up through the woods to Solomons Temple. Climb the spiral staircase to the viewing platform and enjoy a splendid view of Buxton and the surrounding area.
  • Visit Blaze Farm in Wildboarclough, only 15 minute drive from the Guest House. Famous for their Hilly Billy Ice Cream made on the farm from their own cows.

New Deluxe rooms

We now have two Deluxe rooms with Superking beds, a large sofa and coffee table with tub chairs. They are larger rooms with more space to stretch out and relax.

For families, the sofa converts into a double bed. A Cot or Z-bed can also be added. Please contact us for availability.

In need of a relaxing few days in the wonderful Peak District, then look no further.

Our Guesthouse is located in the Centre of Buxton, home to the famous spring water. Put on your walking boots for some amazing walks in The Peaks. Take in a show at The Buxton Opera House and enjoy a meal in one of the amazing selection of restaurants. All within walking distance of our Guesthouse.

Welcome to our new-look site

We’ve being having a thorough spring clean of our website here at the Old Manse and have totally re-designed it. Hope you like the new fresh theme and can find everything you want to. There are still a few things left to do but 99% of the site is now up and running.
