We are situated in a peaceful neighbourhood, just a step away from Buxton’s main attractions and vibrant Market Square with its pubs and restaurants.
Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds: away from the hubbub but close enough to dip in and out when you choose. There is free parking and we are an official Electrical Vehicle Charging Station! FREE to use for guests booking direct.
Originally a Victorian residence, accommodation is set over the first and second floors with a range of stylish and comfortable en suite bedrooms.

Sweet Dreams
We offer double bedrooms with a choice of super-king-size or standard double beds and one single bedroom. If you would prefer twin beds, please let us know in advance.
Each immaculate room is equipped with free Fibre-optic broadband, flat-screen TV, a tub chair, a desk and chair and a hospitality tray for tea and coffee. Our superior super-king rooms are also furnished with a sofa, coffee table and two tub chairs.
Beds are fitted with luxury cotton rich bed sheets and pristine fluffy white towels can be found in each en suite private bathroom.
And so you can pack lighter, we provide a hairdryer and complimentary Cole & Lewis toiletries in our standard rooms and the 100 Acres botanical garden toiletries in our deluxe rooms.
Free Fibre-optic broadband is available in all bedrooms at The Old Manse Guesthouse and we have thermostatic radiators and double glazed sash windows in each bedroom for all-year-round cosy stays.
Breakfast of Champions
Every morning during your stay we’ll freshly prepare a full cooked or continental breakfast to set you up for a day’s sightseeing around Buxton or hiking or cycling in the Peak District National Park.
All ingredients are locally sourced where available, sausages and eggs from the local butcher,Geoff Mycock & Son.
Choose from a light or full-cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, black pudding, hash browns, and all the trimmings. We can also serve a meat-free version.
Our continental breakfast includes our delicious home-made compote, cereals (with vegan and gluten-free options), yoghurts, freshly prepared fruit salad and a choice of fruit juice.
Breakfast is served between 8 am and 9.15 am every day (if you would like breakfast prior to 8 am to get an early start, please let us know).
